Director, Scientific Communications

SERB is a fast-growing specialty pharmaceutical company that equips healthcare providers worldwide with life-saving medicines for patients facing rare conditions and emergencies. We are seeking a PharmD or PhD-trained individual with experience in scientific communications to strengthen the medical and scientific communications function across the SERB portfolio in the US and internationally.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical industry-related medical affairs role, with at least 3 years in a scientific/medical communications role
• Experience in oncology and/or rare disease preferred
• Strong strategic thinking and project management skills
• Ability to critically appraise and apply knowledge gained from medical/scientific literature
• Take initiative, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively in a dynamic, virtual environment in the US and Internationally
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective professional communications, aiming to cultivate strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, i.e., KOLs
• Ability to initiate and lead projects with adherence to timelines and budget
• Strong knowledge of publications compliance and guidelines/practices
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, budgets and cross-functional projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to distill complex scientific information for diverse audiences
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
