The primary role consists of operations and maintenance of reverse osmosis seawater desalination, including SWRO and BWRO equipment on the Island of Aruba. This role will also be involved in the daily operations of the RO plants.
Requirements
- Make daily observations of the equipment and process to ensure proper and safe operation
- Complete daily maintenance and repair logs
- Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
- Perform preventable maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Install new equipment as needed or determined by management
- Support upgrades of existing equipment as determined by management
- Report any improperly working equipment or unsafe situations
- Replace consumable products such as filter elements and chemicals
- Complete Company required training courses in environmental health and safety and comply with safe working practices
- Participate in work/evaluation meetings in a positive manner
- Work on various projects to keep the plant neat, clean and safe
- Track inventory and recording used materials
- Operate equipment, machinery, hand and power tools
- Communicate with supervisor(s) and operators from the various shifts
- Be positive, pleasant to co-workers, and customer service oriented
- Assist with on-the-job training to new employees
