Billing Representative

We are seeking a Billing Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing follow-up on outstanding Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMNs), prescriptions and processing renewal CMNs/prescriptions. The role will also involve contacting patients, evaluating CMNs/prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Perform follow-up on outstanding Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMNs), prescriptions and process renewal CMNs/prescriptions
• Contact patients to gain involvement in problematic situations
• Evaluate all completed CMNs/prescriptions/authorizations
• Enter CMNs/prescription information into computer
• Document all account activity on system
• Perform internal quality audits
• Process, review and mail prescription and/or CMNs to physicians
• Provide feedback on errors identified to supervisor
• Research diagnosis and insurance benefits
• Assist in obtaining authorization for reimbursement
• Request adjustments on accounts
• Comply with regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures
