Instrumentation Laboratory Technologist - Geochemistry

We are SGS – the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company. We are recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity. We are seeking an Instrumentation Laboratory Technologist - Geochemistry to perform moderate technological functions within a laboratory.

Requirements

• Use an applied approach in performing moderate technological functions within laboratory.
• Design, develop, test, install and operates equipment and systems.
• Conduct applied research and experimental testing.
• Compile and analyze data and prepare reports.
• Receive, inspect, sort and label client samples.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment or components.
• Calibrate and set up equipment prior to analysis.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Follow all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Follow all Quality system protocols and report any discrepancies to the Supervisor.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
• Able to work well under pressure during high (peak) workloads and balancing conflicting demands of high volume versus the quality of results.
• Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint & Outlook).
• Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others & independently.
• Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Able to work a rotating schedule - days, afternoons & evenings.
