Job Description
We welcome a Freelance English to Korean Game Localization Specialist to join our global game localization community to bring more joy to people around the world. Responsibilities include translating in-game text, UI, dialogue, marketing materials, and documentation from English to Korean/Japanese, ensuring translations meet industry standards, and collaborating with localization teams, developers, and QA testers to refine translations.
Requirements
- Native-level proficiency in Korean and fluent in English.
- 2+ years of professional translation experience, preferably in gaming or entertainment.
- Deep understanding of gaming culture, slang, and terminology in both source and target languages.
- Familiarity with localization tools (e.g., CAT tools like Phrase, memoQ) is a plus.
- Passion for video games (mention specific genres/titles if relevant).
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of RPG, FPS, or mobile game genres or previous work experience with major game publishers or developers is preferred.
