Job Description
A private family is seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist to provide part-time, newborn-focused care in Cresskill, NJ, starting in mid-May.
Requirements
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate newborn care
- Support and implement feeding plans (breastmilk and/or formula)
- Prepare and sterilize bottles and pumping equipment
- Track feeding, sleep, and diaper output
- Establish and support healthy newborn routines
- Implement safe sleep practices aligned with current AAP guidelines
- Monitor for signs of jaundice, feeding intolerance, dehydration, fever, or other concerns
- Administer pediatrician-prescribed medications as directed
- Support parents in newborn transition in home
- Maintain a calm, organized nursery environment
- Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality
