Job Description
Shelf is a leading AI infrastructure company that empowers GenAI to work by eliminating data issues. They partner with companies like Amazon and Mayo Clinic to deliver accurate GenAI answers and are seeking a Head of Automation to lead their internal automation transformation, driving operational excellence through AI-powered solutions. This is a foundational leadership role reporting to the CTO with significant influence from the CEO.
Requirements
- 8+ years of overall experience including 2+ years in automation and 3+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record of scaling technical teams and automation capabilities in startup environments
- Strong technical background in Node.js, Python, AI/LLM technologies, and agentic frameworks
- Experience with data engineering, ontology design, and enterprise data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake)
- Experience with automation platforms and integration tools (RPA, workflow automation, API integrations)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
