Sherwood Center for the Exceptional Child is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, equipping, and empowering adults and students with autism and other developmental disabilities. The center offers specialized services including habilitation, direct support, behavioral therapy, and classroom assistance to promote independent living and active participation.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Master's degree & BCBA certification. Must have ability to communicate effectively and prioritize tasks
Paraprofessional- Special Education
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of DESE assessment. Experience in special education. Ability to pass a POET assessment
Special Education Teacher (Autism Focus)
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Teaching Certificate in Special Education, experience working with children with autism, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Habilitation Specialist/Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Class E driver's license. 1+ year of experience working with individuals with Autism and/or related developmental disabilities is preferred
Speech Language Pathologist-PT
Bachelor's degree with MO certification, valid license, effective communication and leadership skills
Occupational Therapist-PRN/PT
Occupational Therapy Program completion, valid MO license, experience in public education system or similar settings, Microsoft Office proficiency
Classroom Assistant
High School Diploma, experience in special education instruction, and experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities and mental health diagnosis
Assistant Director of Special Education
5+ years of special education experience with a Bachelor's degree required
