Job Description
As a Director of Engineering at Shipt, you will lead multiple teams of engineers to build, test, deploy, and operate technical solutions for internal developers, business teams, and external users. Your mission is to reduce cognitive load for feature teams and define the Golden Path for engineers to move from idea to production reliably, efficiently, and securely.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or more advanced degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline; or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of software development experience, preferably building customer-facing products and services
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams or 1+ year of leading leaders
- Deep expertise in SRE, DevOps, Cloud Architecture, CI/CD, and IaC principles
- Experience in AI & Agentic implementation across DevOps, SRE, FinOps, DR, and incident management disciplines
- Technical Depth: Deep expertise in SRE, DevOps, Cloud Architecture, CI/CD, and IaC principles.
