Job Description
The Pastry department at Lodge offers a dynamic work environment with a rotating schedule and opportunities to develop seasonal offerings. This role involves supporting the pastry department, assisting the Pastry Chef in all duties, ensuring excellent quality, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. It is a team-oriented position with a fast-paced atmosphere.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a 2 Year Culinary Degree or commensurate experience
- 5+ years in the culinary industry
- Ability to read and execute standardized recipes
- Understanding of proper food handling, equipment, and utensils
- Ability to work cooperatively
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to sustain a fast pace with focus
- Understanding of fire and safety standards
- Ability to function in a hot kitchen environment
