The Prosthetist and Orthotist provides direct and indirect orthotics care for patients, assists physicians with prescription criteria, and fabricates devices.
Requirements
- Acts as a resource to physicians, patients, families, and other medical care providers
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and maintain a feasible work flow
- Trains technicians in proper fabrication procedures
- Reports and documents patient care per departmental standards
- Helps in development of treatment plans, including prescription of prosthesis
