Prosthetist & Orthotist (ABC)

The Prosthetist and Orthotist provides direct and indirect orthotics care for patients, assists physicians with prescription criteria, and fabricates devices.

Requirements

• Acts as a resource to physicians, patients, families, and other medical care providers
• Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and maintain a feasible work flow
• Trains technicians in proper fabrication procedures
• Reports and documents patient care per departmental standards
• Helps in development of treatment plans, including prescription of prosthesis
