Senior Mental Health Therapist

Senior Mental Health Therapist needed at Shrub Oak International School, a therapeutic day and residential school for autistic children and young adults. The therapist will provide expertise in behavioral science and mental health services, working with an interdisciplinary team to support students' comprehensive treatment.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Art Therapy or related field
• Valid NYS clinical license: LCSW, PsyD, LMHC or LCAT in good standing
• At least 3 years' experience in a behavioral health, residential, or educational setting
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities
• DBT experience
• Competency in utilization of evidence-based clinical modalities
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Skilled in managing challenging behaviors and executing de-escalation techniques
