Job Description
We are looking for a Procurement Manager to oversee the sourcing and procurement of spare parts, tires, lubricants, and workshop consumables for a fleet of fuel tankers and flatbed trucks. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of heavy-duty trucks components, experience with local Tanzanian vendors, and the flexibility to work in shifts or respond to urgent procurement needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in spare parts procurement for heavy commercial vehicles, including Chinese brands (HOWO, FAW, CIMC)
- Strong knowledge of local Tanzanian parts markets, tire suppliers, and lubricant dealers
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel
- Solid understanding of transport regulations and fleet maintenance cycles
