Requirements

• Board certification in nursing practice
• Professional mastery of the scope of professional practice
• Ability to work independently with direct impact on patient's health, well-being, and satisfaction
• Ability to work as part of a provider team and see patients within their scope of practice
• Ability to assess and treat patients with complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients
• Ability to perform age-appropriate histories, physical exams, and focused examinations
• Ability to prescribe pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment modalities
• Ability to work across all service lines by collaborating with multidisciplinary team members and making appropriate referrals
• Ability to apply critical thinking to make independent determinations on process and policy exceptions
• Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and individualize the plan of care and treatment
