Engineering Co-op

SIFCO Industries, Inc. is seeking a Co-op in Quality, Engineering, and Operations to support daily tasks, utilize continuous improvement tools, and lead improvement projects to mitigate safety, quality, and efficiency issues.

Requirements

• Support engineering, quality, and operations in daily tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Utilize standard continuous improvement tools to assist in documentation of projects
• Execute against improvement projects as assigned to mitigate safety, quality, and efficiency issues
• Learn forging, heat treatment, and non-destructive testing processes
• Gain experience working in a regulated environment
• Learn about customer specifications and requirements
• Develop simple cost justifications based on business data
• Research technical information and effectively summarize into business reports
• Participate in and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Use industry accepted computer analysis tools to collect and process data
• Partner with Area Supervision to create, facilitate and maintain department training and Standard Work Procedures
• Partner with Quality Engineering on ISO, AS and NADCAP compliance initiatives
• Perform support duties as needed to ensure department goals are met
• All other duties as assigned
