Trading Desk Associate

Susquehanna has an opening for a Trader Desk Associate for our Sydney office. The Operations team is critical to our trading effort, and as a Trader Desk Associate, you will assist traders with all administrative tasks and projects pertaining to the daily trading function.

Requirements

• Previous experience in financial services industry and completion of finance/investment related course work a plus
• Thorough knowledge of equity and equity derivatives
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Python or SQL preferred
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written); ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-moving, highly intellectual environment
• Must be a self starter, a quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems
• Reliable and flexible team player with a positive demeanour
• Ability to move throughout the trading floor as needed
• Maintain composure under pressure
• Humble about what you do and don’t know; not afraid to ask questions
