Tool & Die Machinist I

Tool & Die Machinist I position available in Beaverton, OR, for a heavy industrial fabrication and machine shop. Responsibilities include producing, modifying, and maintaining precision tooling and fixtures, interpreting technical drawings, and collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in toolmaking, machining, or a similar manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or trade school training in machining or a related field preferred
• Solid understanding of tool construction methods, shop math, GD&T principles, and material characteristics
• Demonstrated ability to machine to very tight tolerances (approximately ±0.0002”)
• Experience with CNC programming and operation required
• Familiarity with CAM software and general computer applications used in manufacturing
• Knowledge of machining workflows, layout techniques, and assembly practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• ITAR - Permanent resident of the United States (“U.S. person” as defined by ITAR)
• Background and drug screen - pass a post-offer background verification and drug screen
