Senior Equipment Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering

Sila is a next-generation battery materials company seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer to focus on the reliable operation and optimization of production equipment. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, design improvements, and ensuring engineering documentation is accurate and compliant.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years of Equipment Engineering experience in Chemical Process Industries, Semiconductor, Automotive or similar high volume manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience with industrial processes and equipment, such as high-vacuum systems, pumps, motors, blowers, and valves
• Familiarity with high-temperature environments (e.g., furnaces) and equipment used in solids service
• Hands-on experience building mechanical and/or electrical systems; machine shop and/or fabrication experience preferred
• Familiarity with GD&T and designing for mechanical manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication and welding
• Proficiency in using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for mechanical design, drafting, and drawing review
