Job Description
Simon & Schuster is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to oversee all aspects of cost and inventory accounting operations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing and inventory costing principles, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA is helpful but not required
- 6+ years of experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing/supply chain accounting roles
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and inventory costing principles
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
