Job Description
SimpliSafe is seeking a hands-on Manager of Software Engineering to lead a backend development team. This role involves both managing engineering teams and direct technical contributions, focusing on delivering high-quality, scalable backend services. Requirements
- Manage and mentor a team of 3-5 backend software engineers.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, providing coaching and performance reviews.
- Drive project planning, execution, and delivery within an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Partner with product and QA teams to define requirements and manage dependencies.
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable backend systems.
- Set and enforce technical standards, conduct code reviews and design reviews.
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of production systems.
