Staff Veterinarian- Land & Livestock (Idaho)

The J.R. Simplot Company is seeking a Staff Veterinarian to provide consultation and advice on animal welfare and production management to customers throughout the Northwest region. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent and 3-5 years related experience and/or training.

Requirements

• Develop Veterinarian client patient relationships to prescribe animal medications and medicated feed
• Evaluate health and treatment records to provide recommendations to customers
• Provide input for use in developing and implementing strategies to enhance positive outcomes in areas of general health, vaccination, treatment, etc.
• Write prescriptions for customers
• Provide nutritional insight such as recommendations for SWS minerals, proteins, supplements
• Partner with Simplot Western Stockmen's sales and management teams to develop future growth strategies
