Engineer in Training (Entry-level), Structural Engineering

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger is seeking an Engineer in Training (Entry-level) with a Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering to join their Structural Engineering division in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will assist with structural engineering services, design tasks, and project administration, and will have opportunities for professional growth and learning.

Requirements

• MS in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Excellent written, oral, and verbal communication skills
• FE/EIT certification (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with computer analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP, RISA, RAM, SAFE)
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
• Availability to travel abroad for short periods
