Job Description
The Family Support Specialist will provide support services and temporary financial assistance to families experiencing homelessness to achieve permanent housing. This position will work as part of the Family Housing team to support families with locating and securing housing, leveraging support services to help families maintain permanent housing.
Requirements
- Provide effective case management to program participants
- Meet weekly with families at their place of residence
- Partner with participants to develop self-defined goals focused on improving stability and achieving greater independence
- Formally review individual initial and ongoing goal plans every 90 days
- Collaborate with Early Childhood and Children and Youth Specialists
