Scale Operator - NF

Sims Metal is a global leader in metal recycling, and the scale operator role is responsible for initiating business transactions with suppliers, reviewing material, and completing transactions following company policy and procedures.

Requirements

• Responsible for the accuracy of all weighing
• Follow all applicable metal theft laws
• Keep the scale in balance for all weighing
• Keep the weighing equipment in good condition
• Conduct monthly scale weight spot checks
• Provide basic price quotes
• Keep all purchasing and sales tickets in alphabetical order
• Notify supervisor of any transaction discrepancies
• Test radiation detective system daily at the start of shift
• Ability to operate forklift and bobcat
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
