News Producer

KOMO/KUNS is seeking a creative News Producer to work on the day-to-day production of newscasts, determining content and flow, and working with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories. The ideal candidate will have solid news judgment, be a compelling and accurate writer, and be able to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews
• Strong interest in digital and streaming news production
• Understanding of how digital audiences consume news differently from broadcast viewers
• Willingness to experiment with new formats, platforms, and audience engagement strategies
• Ability to adapt broadcast content for streaming, social, and on-demand platforms
• Comfortable using analytics and audience feedback to inform editorial decisions
