Job Description
The PAUT NDT Technician will be responsible for performing advanced ultrasonic examinations on welds, materials, and components in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Requirements
- Conduct Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) inspections on welds, plates, and pipes as per approved procedures and standards.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate PAUT equipment to ensure accurate results.
- Interpret and evaluate PAUT data to identify material defects and discontinuities.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports with accurate documentation of findings.
- Follow project specifications, ASME, API, and ISO codes during testing operations.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams, clients, and third-party inspectors for inspection approvals.
- Maintain NDT instruments, calibration records, and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Participate in periodic audits and continuous improvement programs.
