The Electronic Repair Technician tests, diagnoses, repairs and adjusts electronic and optical equipment to ensure that they are in the optimal working order. The incumbent will diagnose GPS receivers, radios, data collectors, tables, optical devises to include levels, robotic total stations, and other devises. Must be able to disassemble, repair, assemble, and test the same.
Requirements
- Diagnose GPS receivers, data collector, radios, displays, and tablets issues and makes proper repair or component replacements
- Diagnose, repair and calibrate robotic total stations
- Repair, clean and calibrate pipe lasers, conventional total stations and auto levels
- Customer facing, discuss with customers status of products, repair cost, etc.
- Load firmware and upgrade firmware on devices
- Troubleshoot and repair electric masts
- Performs system testing with sample/live data and technology
- Utilizes Business Center software to update customer files, check for modeling errors and verify data
- Works with other departments to ensure that customer’s needs are met
- Pulls and prepares inventory in order to complete tasks
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
