Tessera is seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Mechanic with a can-do attitude to perform preventive maintenance and repairs of equipment. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of light, medium, and heavy truck experience, ASE T Series Certifications, and experience working with diesel engines.
Requirements
- Must have 3 to 5 years light, medium, and heavy truck experience.
- ASE T Series Certifications or must be in the process of testing for ASE T Series certification.
- Vocational or Technical School Certification Preferred, but not required.
- Must have experience working with diesel engines.
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow technical manuals to ensure proper diagnosis and repair.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot repair on breaks, suspensions, wheels, hubs, and steering systems.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills.
- Ability to use computers and computer software
- Valid Driver’s license required. Must currently hold CDL-B or be able to obtain within 9 months of hire. Must be able to obtain and maintain approval to operate a vehicle by Tessera’s insurance carrier.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances as background checks will be conducted for this position.
- A Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated pre-employment medical examination and drug screening are required. Candidates must meet federal guidelines to be considered for this position.
