MCE Lead Technician GE Experience

Main Component Exchange (MCE) Lead Technicians specialize in large correctives, safely executing main component exchanges and uptower repair services on wind turbines as directed by Project Manager. MCE Lead Technicians are responsible for directing their team’s day to day tasks in order to complete the project. They are knowledgeable in rigging, crane calling, LOTO, standard and special tooling, etc. and are strong communicators.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 yrs of wind industry experience
• 2 years GE experience
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities
• Intermediate level computer skills and ability to use technology apps and devices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated technical and team leadership capabilities
• Positive attitude and the ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights
• Willingness to work in confined spaces and alternate schedules, including overtime and holidays
• Ability to climb wind turbines (approx. 300 feet)
• Weight compliance between 120 and 280 pounds for safety standards
• Capability to lift and move heavy equipment (over 50 pounds)
