Accountant

We are Skytree, a global team of scientists, engineers, and business professionals working to capture atmospheric carbon dioxide and combat climate change. We're looking for an experienced, ownership-driven Accountant to manage accounting activities across multiple European entities and support our headquarters in the Netherlands.

Requirements

• Managing day-to-day accounting activities across European entities
• Supporting accounting operations for the Netherlands headquarters and wider European business transactions
• Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, VAT filings, tax reporting, and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
• Supporting intercompany reconciliations and group reporting activities
• Booking accruals, payroll journals, and general accounting entries with accuracy and confidence
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and treasury activities
• Improving procurement workflows and internal approval processes
• Contributing to the implementation and optimization of MS Dynamics modules and finance operations
• Partnering with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and local stakeholders where needed
• Identifying smarter ways of working and continuously improving financial controls and operational efficiency
