The Talent Pool - Cybersecurity – Engineering role involves developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to protect organizational assets and sensitive information, designing and implementing security technologies, and staying up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and technologies. The role requires strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices, as well as hands-on experience with security technologies and proficiency in programming/scripting languages. The team collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into business processes and projects, and communicates security risks and recommendations to stakeholders effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field
- Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, preferably in engineering or architecture
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices
- Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, endpoint protection, encryption, etc.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and scripting tasks
- Familiarity with networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud computing platforms
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, CCSP) are a plus
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
