Solution Architect

SmartDev is an AI-powered software development company seeking a Solution Architect to own technical design across client engagements. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a solution or enterprise architecture role, and proficiency in backend and frontend technologies. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of architectural patterns and security principles. Requirements

• Design end-to-end solution architectures for web, API, and data-driven applications on AWS
• Lead technical discovery with clients to map workflows, data models, and integration requirements
• Define API contracts, service boundaries, and data flow patterns across microservices
• Review and validate proposed designs for scalability, security, and operational reliability
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate architecture decisions into actionable specs
• Maintain a library of reference architectures, ADRs, and technical documentation
• Participate in pre-sales and client onboarding as a trusted technical advisor
• Identify and drive improvements to engineering standards and best practices across projects
