Import Coordinator

Import Export Coordinator to ensure uninterrupted freight flows through SMC's supply chain, track, clear, process import and export freight, and respond to customer or freight supplier inquiries.

Requirements

• Prepare import paperwork for international shipments.
• Monitor customs, ECCN and NAFTA requests.
• Classify parts for international shipments or hand carries.
• Work with freight carriers to resolve issues with damages to shipments.
• Use current freight data to develop metrics for damages and claims.
• Work with freight carriers to resolve clearance or transit time issues with international shipments.
• Maintain and update import and export documentation.
• Audit freight bills for overages, storage fees etc.
