Lead Mechanical Engineer

Lead Mechanical Engineer position responsible for defining problems, conducting research, analyzing criteria, and making decisions. The role requires creativity, innovation, and communication skills, with occasional travel and task completion as required by internal/external customer requirements.

Requirements

• Creativity and innovation of existing departmental processes and/or existing products
• Reliability and availability to complete tasks/projects as required
• Effective communication with various departments or individuals
• Occasional travel for training, customer support, and projects
• Ability to take verbal and/or written directions and provide results
• Produce end products in the form of components, assemblies, drawings, data files, proposals, or reports
• Collect, interpret, and clarify customer requirements
• Modify existing designs to meet customer provided requirements
• Lead the introduction of standard product for distribution and manufacturing
• Lead projects or portions of projects
• Assist others with projects
• Provide training to engineers
• Provide product assistance to manufacturing as requested
