Job Description
Maintenance Technician I is the introductory-level maintenance position that assists with the upkeep of electrical and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced food-processing environment. The role involves troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and piping systems, as well as performing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment
- Vocational Diploma, Technical Diploma, or associate's degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school (plus)
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment
- Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, or scissor lift
- Basic computer skills
