Product Design Engineer

Snap Inc is looking for a Product Design Engineer to join the Spectacles team. The role involves designing, prototyping, and analyzing new products and components from concept to mass production. The ideal candidate should have strong engineering fundamentals, experience in consumer electronics manufacturing, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Design, prototype, and analyze exciting new products and components from concept to mass production.
• Collaborate across engineering and operations disciplines to solve problems in a fast-paced development environment.
• Conduct hands-on failure analysis and implement corrective actions for design improvements.
• Work closely with component suppliers and manufacturing partners in Taiwan and across Asia.
• Develop and conduct technical experiments to select designs, materials, and technologies.
• Supervise the mechanical designs of components and assemblies and lead technical design reviews.
• Travel internationally up to 50%.
• Strong communication skills -- written, verbal, and presentations.
• Ability to clearly communicate your ideas to peers and leadership.
