Accountant

An established Irish accounting and tax practice is seeking a motivated and independent Accountant to join its growing remote team. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring that all accounting and tax compliance requirements are met in line with international standards.

Requirements

• Prepare and maintain monthly management accounts for a portfolio of clients.
• Maintain accounting records up to the draft financial statement stage.
• Review accounting records and expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and submit tax returns, including VAT, payroll, corporate tax, and income tax.
• Liaise with relevant revenue authorities and represent clients professionally in all communications.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and communicate directly with clients to gather required information and provide updates.
• Respond to queries and provide guidance on accounting and compliance matters.
• Collaborate remotely with international colleagues to meet client regulatory requirements.
• Monitor filing deadlines and maintain accurate project status records and compliance checklists.
• Support and guide junior team members as the local team expands.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
