Job Description
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Safety DSA Analyst to support the design of new nuclear power plants and the operation and refurbishment of existing CANDU nuclear power plants. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in Engineering or Science and 1.5 to 10 years of relevant experience. The role involves deterministic safety assessments, analyzing postulated accidents, and developing approaches for safety analysis tasks.
Requirements
- Relevant honours degree from a university of recognized standing in Engineering or Science
- Minimum of 1.5 or 10 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in computer environments, including Linux and WINDOWS
- Broad knowledge of thermal-fluid sciences
- Familiarity with safety and licensing computer codes such as CATHENA, NUCIRC, ADDAM, GOTHIC and MAAP
- Proficiency in computer programming, especially FORTRAN
- Good knowledge of the CANDU design, with particular emphasis on the heat transport system (HTS) and plant control, containment and moderator systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
- Ability to show initiative while working in a team environment
- Ability to work to budget and schedule
