Design Team Lead - Electrical

Candu Energy Inc. is looking to hire a Design Team Lead - Electrical. This position requires experienced individuals who are self-starter capable of working independently and mentoring junior engineers. The individuals will work in a fast-paced team environment performing and leading engineering services for Nuclear Power Plants within a matrix organization.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related discipline from an accredited University.
• Experience working in all phases of a project including the conceptual design phase, preliminary engineering, detailed design, construction/installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Registered Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario, member in good standing.
• Utility Design Engineer (DE) Qualification QID#33685.
• Working knowledge of pressure boundary licensing requirements, and interface with TSSA/ CNSC.
• Working knowledge of client Asset Suite/Maximo with active access rights.
• Working knowledge of the CANDU design and plant system design.
• Detailed understanding of Utility (ECC) process and governance procedures.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, with strong customer focus.
