Process Engineer

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Process Engineer to provide design solutions and assessments for new, updated and modified process systems, structures and components. The role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, nuclear engineering or engineering science, with a minimum of 12 years of experience in process-system design/analysis.

Requirements

• Engineering degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or Engineering Science
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in process-system design/analysis, preferably providing design solutions for CANDU nuclear power plants or BWR/PWR markets
• Experience performing heat balance and thermalhydraulic evaluations
• Experience in process system design and layout
• Experience performing work to nuclear power plants procedures and practices and qualifications for nuclear power plants engineering activities is an asset
• Knowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design
• Working knowledge of/experience using nuclear Codes and Standards, including CSA N285.0 and ASME Section III
• Excellent technical and practical skills to resolve engineering issues or technical problems
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills
