The Procurement Engineering Manager oversees the timely delivery of pre- and post-order engineering activities required to ensure material, components and equipment are specified, requisitioned, procured, design accepted, and delivered to the project site in support of the construction / installation schedule.
Requirements
- Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree from an accredited University
- Registered Professional Engineer in a Province of Canada (member in good standing)
- Minimum 10 years of design experience, equipment selection, and manufacturing technical oversight in a heavy industry project delivery environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading engineering teams
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary work with significant stakeholder interface requirements
- Experience in executing projects that are subject to import/export controls
- Experience managing and/or performing work under nuclear quality management systems such as CSA N286, CSA N299
- Experience in Nuclear Station Design, CANDU technology and / or engineering qualification would be an asset
- Working knowledge of nuclear and industry codes and standards (CSA N285, ASME, etc.)
- Willingness to travel to and potentially work at project sites to meet company needs
