Senior/Principal Ecologist (BNG specialist)

We are a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization seeking a Senior/Principal Ecologist to join our team. As a Senior/Principal Ecologist, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our cities and environments by working on a range of exciting habitat creation, research, development and major infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• A passion for ecology
• Good working knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain legislation, policy and methods, the natural environment and wildlife legislation
• Ability to undertake Biodiversity Net Gain assessments
• Good report writing skills
• Strong botanical skills
• Competent in using GIS and/or other geospatial applications
• Experience in protected species survey, mitigation and licensing
• Understanding of the importance of work winning, through both bidding and maintaining strong client relationships
• Ability to manage ecology deliverables / projects from bidding through to completion
• Membership of CIEEM or equivalent and Chartership (CEnv or CEcol) or the current ability to achieve chartership
