Senior Principal Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to lead and manage a team to deliver high-profile projects involving hydrological and water resource modelling, dam hydraulics, structural design, overtopping, and stability assessment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering (Dam & Reservoir discipline); Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in dam and reservoir engineering.
• Strong knowledge in hydro-meteorological studies, dam hydrology and hydraulics, structural calculations, stability and overtopping analysis, civil and drainage design.
• Familiarity with UK policies, frameworks, dam risk assessments, and environmental legislation.
• Proven strategic leadership and project management capabilities.
• Advanced technical expertise in dams, reservoirs, and hydraulic structures.
• Strong analytical, people management, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in digital transformation and process optimization.
