Senior / Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer

This role involves leading teams in nuclear safety, supporting clients in demonstrating regulatory compliance, and contributing to a secure, low-carbon energy future for the UK. Responsibilities include producing nuclear safety cases, working with clients across various sectors, and leading technical delivery to solve complex safety-critical problems.

Requirements

• Leading teams producing nuclear safety cases
• Working with clients across nuclear generation, nuclear new build, defence, fusion, and SMR sectors
• Supporting critical decision-making for the design, commissioning, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities and assets
• Influencing client strategy and supporting nuclear site licence applications
• Building a business pipeline and delivering technical presentations to clients and regulators
• Leading technical delivery to solve complex safety-critical problems, and present solutions to stakeholders
• Contributing to and taking benefit from the wider AtkinsRéalis technical community, mentoring and developing junior engineers to strengthen our capability
