The Technical Manager - Mechanical and Process Engineering role at AtkinsRéalis involves managing the design process from concept to preliminary to detailed design to installation at a new build station of Process and Mechanical Systems. The successful candidate will lead a team of Mechanical, Process, Designers and Engineering Professionals and have experience managing engineering work with interfacing requirements involving other engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the major disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering, or related field from an accredited University.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario with good standing.
- 10+ years’ experience supporting various types of projects including engineering services, refurbishments, and/or new build construction projects.
- 5+ years’ experience leading teams is required.
- Experience on a new build project is an asset (e.g. nuclear, combined cycle, un-conventional nuclear).
- Experience managing engineering work with interfacing requirements involving other engineering teams (Process / Systems, Mechanical, Physics, Safety, Licensing, Civil / Structural, Electrical, Human Factors, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Contracts, and Construction),
- Experience working within a Quality Management System (CSA N286), and quality standards (CSA N299) and other applicable standards and nuclear regulatory guides.
- Working knowledge of/experience with the CSA, IEC, IEEE, and suites of standards pertaining to Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Engineering and other applicable standards and nuclear regulatory guides.
- Eligible to obtain Security Clearance with Public Services and Procurement Canada.
