Senior Building Commissioning Agents

SOCOTEC company is a provider of niche consulting services within the architecture, engineering and construction industries focusing on high-performance buildings and specialty structures. The Senior Building Commissioning Agent will review Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) design documents, perform measurement, verification, commissioning, or retro-commissioning, and provide testing forms in compliance with green building practices.

Requirements

• Review of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) design documents such as drawings, Specifications (Specs), the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), and Basis of Design (BOD) to evaluate energy efficiency;
• Perform measurement, verification, commissioning, or retro-commissioning;
• Provide, prepare and develop Pre-Functional and Functional Testing forms in compliance with green building practices;
• Collect data for energy conservation analyses, using jobsite observation, field inspections, or submetering.
• Periodic visits to site for observation and acceptance of pre-Functional tests;
• Inspect or monitor energy system, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) to determine energy use or potential energy savings.
• Carry out Functional Tests (FT) of MEP equipment on site to verify the proper installation of new or relocated HVAC equipment per green building practices;
• Prepare energy-related project reports or related documentation;
• Prepare documents such as Current Facility Requirement (CFR) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) plan, Systems Manual, Ongoing Commissioning (Cx) plan, Cx summary report etc.
