Job Description
The Australian Election Commission is seeking a Senior SQL Server DBA to join their Database and Communications team. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering solutions and support for the evolving database environment, including SQL Server systems hosted on prem and in the Azure Cloud.
Requirements
- Overseeing compliance and health of the database fleet
- Driving database automation initiatives for repeatable requirements
- Developing service capabilities in the Azure cloud
- Recent experience in operating and supporting SQL Server clustered implementations
- Recent experience in operating and supporting Azure SQL Managed Instance systems
- T-SQL skills including performance analysis of T-SQL queries
- Proven and demonstrable skills in SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL XML, SQL JSON and PowerShell
- Developing/supporting automation of SQL Server processes using PowerShell and T-SQL
- Delivery of SQL Server database systems built to AEC standards
