Mechanical Design Engineer

Model/Z seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to develop product designs and improve manufacturing processes in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background and experience with CAD/PDM/PLM Systems.

Requirements

• Evaluating potential solutions for product and process inefficiencies
• Designing and managing large assembly models
• Implementing design-built improvements
• Managing internal PDM/PLM systems
• Operating cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and industrial systems teams
• Maintaining Bill of Materials
• Working alongside Supply Chain with contracted manufacturers/suppliers
• Coordinating design solutions with various Architectural, Structural, MEP, Inspection Teams
• Applying industry-standard Automotive and Aerospace Manufacturing principles
