Director of Solar Construction, SDI Services

As a Director of Solar Construction, you will oversee and manage the construction aspects of solar projects, developing and executing strategies for efficient and effective foundation drilling for solar installations. You will lead and manage a team of professionals, collaborate with engineers and architects, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role involves frequent travel and requires a minimum of 5-10 years of field construction management experience, including supervisory skills, and a thorough understanding of solar construction techniques, equipment, and technology.

Requirements

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience
• Field construction management experience (5-10 years, including supervisory skills)
• Extensive knowledge of solar construction techniques, equipment, and technology
• Proficiency in solar project construction, including understanding solar array components
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
• Proficiency in project management, including budgeting and scheduling
• Leadership ability
• Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
• Organizational and communication skills
• Drafting and computer skills
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting
• Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)
