Transportation Manager

Transportation Manager oversees all aspects of transportation operations, ensuring seamless movement of goods through the supply chain, with a focus on optimizing last-mile delivery to improve efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Direct daily transportation activities, including fleet management, dispatching, and coordination with third-party carriers.
• Ensure maintenance, inspection, and repair schedules are followed for all transportation assets.
• Manage contracts, service agreements, and relationships with transportation vendors and logistics partners.
• Implement technology systems for route planning, scheduling, and real-time visibility, including last-mile tracking and customer notifications.
• Identify operational gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency across the distribution center, cross-dock, and hub-branch network.
• Prepare and manage the transportation budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
• Supervise and support transportation team, including drivers, office support and leads.
